Physical attributes of a person like finger prints, facial features and iris are known as ‘Biometric’ information.

UIDAI has decided to collect the following pieces of biometric information from the enrolls/Residents:

• Facial image
• Iris – both eyes
• Finger prints of all fingers.

Finger prints are captured in the following sequence:

1. Left hand four finger slap
2. Right hand four finger slap
3. Capture of both the thumbs
